Comments: An update!! I have lived in VA since 1973, married Fred Phillips from Mullens, WV that same year. We have one son, who is a Va. Tech graduate and plays a mean bass guitar! I have been an RN for years, but went the management route, getting an MBA. I am currently teaching in an undergraduate program in healthcare management and getting my doctorate. Boy, it's not as easy as it once was! My husband is a semi-retired CPA. Miss a number of friends who have passed away, especially Sallie Price-Burdette, and Wayne McDowell. Really appreciate the website. Have been able to catch up with some lost friends. Be glad to hear from anyone who remembers!!

I've been a mental health counselor for 20 years and still love it! Seven grandkids (whoa!). Mike and his wife are both OB/GYN's in Charleston, WV. Frank is VP at Janus in overseas operations. Cris is an awesome mommy of 2. Geri is still nursing in West Palm (Her husband is in Kuwait). Allison is a social worker and currently back with us for a while. Three of the kids finished at Florida (GO GATORS), one at USF and one at Winthrop in SC. Dad is stilly lobbying in Charleston. Please let me hear from you. I LOVE hearing from you all!

Left NASA in in 2006 (Space Shuttle and International Space Station). Finished a full career in the Air Force: fighter pilot, test pilot, commander. Served on the Joint Staff at the Pentagon. Yes, I was there.
Still married to Sarah. Three children. Oldest, Melissa works for the State Department in refugee issues for south Asia. Chris is an Air Force Lt finishes med school at UVA then to Wolford Hall for Residency, and Stephanie graduates with double majors from Virginia Tech in May. Mom and Dad still live on Harper Road next to the "Patton's Market" lot. Thery turn 90 years old in February!

something on this site years ago, but coouldn't seem to find it. It was very interesting reading about each of you though.
I do see several of the "locals" from time to time, but it is great to know where so many others are. I am married to
Doug Hambric, Class of 69, this summer will be 33 years! Long time and life is good! We bought a motor home and travel
alot so who knows when we may show up at someones doorstep. I'll keep this site around so I can find you guys! WE are
living on Maxwell Hill and would love to see any of you when you are in town. Just give us a call. We have one daughter,
Lindsay, who is married and living in Morgantown, WV. She is the Associate Broker at Howard Hanna Real Estate and just finished
her masters in Integrated Marketing and Communications. No grand children yet, but I am hoping! Our son in law just started
working for Doug in our Morgantown territory. He's a computer whiz who has taken a dramatic career change but seems to be enjoying it!

Comments: I found this site recently. I am joyful in reading of all of your successes; and so many of you are still alive! Feeling fortunate
myself, I feel blessed to have grown up in such a safe place. I graduated from The Citadel in 1974; married Cindy Salvati in 1974 (Cindy was class of 71;
and Winthrop College 74), and we started an Air Force career. We had a great 20-year career; survived, and won. I was a pilot; flew trainers and C-141s
in AZ and WA, and commanded a flying squadron in the 1991 Gulf War. I worked on Capital Hill in D.C., and retired in 1994. I am now an airline pilot;
a Captain at Alaska Airlines flying the 737-400 and NG aircraft, based in Seattle WA. “Beckley West”
crosses the CRT often enroute to New York and Washington. When it’s clear (on occasion), I look down with appropriate attention and respect, boring
the “other pilot” with where I was “raised.” Scary to think I almost failed geography in 9th grade! We have two great kids who are on
their own. Sarah graduated from Colorado State Univ., and Nicholas from the Univ. of WA. We miss WV but continue our love affair with the west. We love the
wide-open spaces, big mountains, and clear water. Our home is open to you, and we would love your visit if you are ever near.

Shunned all the reunions and don't get to WV much since being in faraway California for 25+ years. But, for what it's worth, I'm still wearing the same pair of hokey glasses I had on in the 1970 yearbook! (They're back in style now.)

dreamed that I would be living out west, but I met a wonderful man (my husband Rod) and we have lived out
here for almost 2 years. I have 4 children ( 2 boys and 2 girls), one stepson and 4 grandchildren.. My oldest
son is in the Army and is stationed here in Sierra Vista. My youngest son lives in Wilmington, NC and is working
with his dad in the sign business. He runs the neon shop... and my two daughters are living in Richmond,Va.. Rhonda
is married but no children yet... Mary is still single but hoping for a ring soon...LOL.. I hope that I can

(Class '71) I graduated from nursing school-RN in 1973. We have two grown children, Paul
(Class '91) and April (Class '93). Both children are married and have their own children
(3 grandsons). Daughter is an RN, married to Michael Edwards (Class'91)
and he is a jet engine mechanic with GE in Raleigh, NC. They have 2 sons, Ethan-3yrs and Caden-2 months. Son was in Air Force
for 5 and 1/2 years, then he moved back home with us, married a beautiful girl from Montana. Paul now works for Enterprise
Car Rental in Charleston, WV and plans to go back to college to finish his degree in business. His wife Sarah, is an

Fredericksburg, Va. Theresa and I met in Fredericksburg while I was working for
VEPCO at the North Anna Power Station (a commercial reactor). We later moved
to Columbia , MD where we lived for 12 years. Moved to SC in '91 to raise our
kids (2) in this small southern town close to one DOE's largest sites. Our son,
Chris (18), is a freshman At USC. Our daughter, Heather (17), is a senior in High
School here in Aiken. I am a consultant for the Department of Energy and travel
around the country quite often. I am very sorry to have missed the 30 year reunion,
but I look for forward to hearing from everyone who remembers me. Although I have
been away for 31 years (attended the 10 and 20-year reunions), I have not forgotten
and never will forget the great times we all had.

living in Miami, florida. I am married and have survived raising 4
children Melissa 24 who is a vetinarian tech. she inherited my love

considering we opperate a commercial fishing buisness and work
several boats. I recieved my pratical nursing license in 1971 and
worked in several states Divorced after first marriage (MY MOTHER WAS
RIGHT, BUT I WOULD NOT LISTED-I KNOW NONE OF YOU MADE THAT MISTAKE
-RIGHT??) I married again and we were blessed with the four children
there dad then died of cancer. I married an ITIALIAN FISHERMAN AND IT
HAS NOT BEEN BOARING. we have been in Miami since 1989 in the Cutler
Ridge area right where Hurricane Andrew decided to visit! we lost our
home, 3 boats and generally most everything else-the roof every
window every door but THE GOOD LORD spared our lives. It was an
experience!-- no electrictal power for 6 weeks living in tents and
the mosquetoes thought they had died and gone to heven!! ha! no
running water and everyone's stuff was in the neighbor's yard in the
next block. BUT WE SURVIVED!!and to all of you who sent supplies
PRAYERS and came down and helped - you have no idea how important

YOU TRULY HELPED US SURVIVE. Our cities have been beautifully rebuilt
and only a few scared areas remain. Our fishing buisness is thriving
we are fortunate to live in a beautiful part of our country and live
a very exciting life. we dive for lobster and do underwater
photography fishing and trap for stone crab and blue crabs and when
the cold fronts start down we run our shrimp boats I have A U.S.
COAST GUARD CAPTAINS LICENSE FOR CHARTERING . IT'S A WIERED WORLD
RIGHT?? I HAVE ONE OTHER CHILD WHO WAS BORN WITH ANGLEMAN SYNDROME
BUT SHE IS A SWEETY AND WHEN WE ALL GET TO HEVEN I AM HOPEING SHE
WILL ! PUT A GOOD WORD IN FOR ME TO THE GOOD LORD. MAYBE I'LL GET A
VERY NICE JOB THEN. AT THIS TIME I AM IN WINSTON-SALEM WITH MY SISTER
WE BURIED OUR DAD THIS PAST WEEK IN ST. ALBANS AND I STOPED TO REST A
FEW DAYS AND GOT TO REMINICING AND FOUND THIS SITE. JEFF ITS WORTH

and began working for Social Security Administration in Beckley the
next week-I'M STILL THERE!!-Married Jack Laws (class of 1969) in
