Comments: Yes, I left the big city life of DC metro to come back home. I bought a web company in 2005 here. Renamed it Digital Beckley, reorganzed it, and put a lot of new technology in place and now its pretty succesful and doing some serious business web sites.
My son recently rejoined the Army and will be soon fighting proudly for our nation. So all of the family is on edge and hopes he comes through everything just fine.
I ride mountain bikes for fun and am president of the local cycling orgainzation. Im currently preparing for my annual charity event - Grind The Gorge 2nd Annual Benefit Ride. This year we are raising money for the local Red Cross Chapters and for the Beckley Womens Resource Center. The event is on May 17 of this year and is at Grandview National Park. We will be riding 25 miles through the New River Gorge to ACE Adventure Center, just past Oak Hill.

My oldest (Carrie-22yrs) is expecting her first child in July. WOW! I guess that makes me a Grandmother!! Now that will make you feel old! My son is very involved in sports and keeps me busy with that. My youngest daughter is a spit-fire herself and keeps me on my toes. I was glad to see the post from September Marino as I often think of her and all the Stanaford Acres crew that I grew up with. September, if you are ever in WV call 'cause I would love to see you!!!! We were set up on a blind date by friends at work (those things never work out, right?) and ended up getting married. We don't have any children of our own but are blessed with enough nieces and nephews to make us think we do. We often travel through WV to visit relatives and every time I pass the Beckley exit it brings back so many memories. Seems like yesterday not 24 years ago. Comments: Hi there! To think, in 15 short months, we will have been gone from Woodrow for 25 years. Time has really flown by. We will be starting to plan for this in the next few months. Again, I'm asking if anyone has the knowledge of any classmates to please send them my email address (leadingham@hotmail.com) or provide me their information so that I can get in contact with them. The most difficult part about planning these reunions are locating everyone. We are really hoping for a BIG turnout next year and would like to find as many people as we can. I still have a list from the 20-year but would very much like to expand on it.
Mendy and I have had a few conversations about what to do next year. We've thrown out everything from something similar to what has been done in the past to having something during Homecoming Week in the fall of 09 to anything in between. If anyone has any suggestions, please send them on.
Also, because there was a lot of concern with the cost of the 20-year reunion, we are looking to breakdown each event and then a discount if someone wishes to attend the entire weekend. There is also thought of maybe just having one big event on Saturday.
Again, please provide your thoughts on any of this and we will try to plan accordingly.

Comments: At Central Baptist church at the age of 7 years old as he sat with his grandmother 2nd seat 2nd pew from the front (Pauline C Boyden) he realized as the pianist played (who was at the time, Kathleen Dobson and ? that music would play a role in his future. After being asked the fatal question by grandmother, Do u want 2 take piano lessons, at the time he didn’t realize that answering yes would turn into something greater. For the next ten years, every Wed. Rod would arrive at the steps of Bessie Smoot for private piano lessons. Some days were joy & laughter, and some days were full of pain & tears but all days included grandmother sitting behind during the lesson reading the newspaper. All of this led to the following accomplishments. He began to play for Sunday school & occasionally played for the children’s choir for Central Baptist Church. He then began to play for weddings and performances around the city of Beckley, West Virginia. After moving to Charleston W Virginia. In 1989 he played at the Simpson United Methodist Church, St Paul AME church, and became a staff musician at the Ferguson Memorial Baptist Church. He was the music director for the Charleston Job Core Center choir. He also Upward Bound Summer Program. At West Virginia. State College. He sang The Star Spangled Banner for the Washington Bullets / Los Angles Lakers game at the Charleston Civic Center. He taught thru the leadership of Betty Spencer—he taught Choral Music for 19 elementary schools & was chosen numerous times to sing for the school board and public meetings. He sang the Star Spangled banner for the West Virginia State police graduation at the Governor’s Mansion. Apollo theatre 1989-91 and won 5th, 4th & 1st place
Won the WV state Star Search 2nd award 1991
Won the WV state Star Search 1st place in 1992
Won 1993 the Washington DC talent search at the Lincoln theatre. In 1996
After being chosen by Bishop TD Jakes, to be the assistant musician—he was relocated to Dallas, TX where he was responsible for forming the Music Department, which still exist today.
He was lead male character in the stage production of the book, “Woman Thou Art Loosed” written by Bishop TD jakes traveling throughout the country for 2 years.
The spirit surely will be uplifted by The Storm Is Over (EMI), the new recording from BISHOP T.D. JAKES & THE POTTER'S HOUSE MASS CHOIR. The ebullient title song, written by R. Kelly, is delivered masterfully by D'Atra Hicks and Rodney Boyden. at UT- Chattanooga. Husband, Tom Appelman, who goes by TA, is a high school math teacher and department chair. We don't
have any kids, but have a mini-Poodle (Rissa Taylor) who rules the house. For the last two years we have mentored a
little girl through Big Brothers/ Big Sisters. The parent on occasion via BBBS suits us, and we feel we are really
making a difference for our little. It’s been a bigger time commitment, but also more rewarding, than we expected. I encourage
you to get involved with BBBS. As an aside, I’ve been very happy as a T-totaler for about 15 years now. :-)

Comments: Just droppin' a note to everyone in the Class of '84. Hi ya'll. I didnt graduate with the class, but I
did get my GED after I was already in college (which was in 83). I'd like to point out that I beat the statistics and
am doing quite fine (you know the stats that say drop-outs only make 42% of what grads make LOL).
Anyway, in the past 20 or so years I've been in a road crew, then a Civil Engineer and now for almost the past
10 yrs, a web developer. Doin stuff I never went to school for. LOL
I moved from Beckley to Martinsburg WV in '91 and haven't looked back for the most part. While I keep on searching for that
'perfect woman', I keep thinkin' that folks in Beckley just dont realize how much paranoia doesn't
filter down to there. No 'big city' worries like what's near DC (man wanna talk about some uptight LEOs LOL). So someday, I'll
be back in the good life in Beckley where your neighbors are your friends.

Comments: I do not know if the last email I posted went threw or not. I have been divorced one time. I have
a 14 year old son named Greg. He lives in NC with his father. I am planning on getting married to the man of my dreams, on
Feburary 25, 2005. I used to date this beauitful man twenty years ago. He is the most wonderful man I have ever met.
I really belive he is my soul mate. Those of you that know me back in high school knew who he was. Perry Prunesti was
his name (WILD CHILD) not anymore he is a good man. I had a brain hemorrhage and he was with me every step of the way, I almost
died. WE have a 2 yr old, his name is Angelo Perry, Looks just like his father. Perry has two beauitful daughters. And
now he also has a son. God has really blessed me with the love of my life and has also gave me a second chance
to go on with my life. I am going to MSU but had to take two classes because of the hemorrage I had. I had this hemorrhage
june 10 2004, and did not get out of the hospital until July 5th. I was in intensive care for two weeks, was pretty lucky
no surgery and came out pretty normal, some minor problems considering. I am majoring in the Medical Assistant program
and am going to try and go on and be a nurse. It just put me behind from being sick. If there is anyone out there who
would like to email me please do. I would really enjoy it. I am not that redneck I used to be, only if I have to be. Good

Comments: Hello everyone! I have been living in Beckley with my boyfriend Perry for about four years. I moved back in
1996. I have a beauitful boy 14 lives in N.C. with his father. I am divorced. I am getting ready to marry the man of my
dreams. I have loved all my life or at least for 20 yrs. Those of you who knew me know that is name was Perry Prunesti. We
are going to get married on Feburary 25, 2005. We also have a beauitful little boy that looks just like him. He is two
years old. I am going to Mountain State University, taking classes to be a Medical Assitant. I had to take this semester
off. I had a hemorrhage to my brain. I was in intensive care for two weeks almost died. But, I came out ok no major problems
lucky to be alive, by the grace of God!!!!I going back to finsh my degree in January and maybe go on and become a nurse. Well I
am sorry I missed the reuniuon I was in the hospital. I was sick for three months! Anyone wants to email me please do, would be nice
to hear from some fellow school mates!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

big two-oh. After I graduated from WWHS I attended WVU. I graduated from WVU with an under graduate in Human
Resources and Education in 1988. I then began teaching in the public school system while attending graduate school
at WVU. I completed my graduate degree in Public Administration / Public Health in 1990. I then took a position as
a nursing home admistrator. Fortunetly for me I was recruited into the pharmaceutical industry in 1991. I have been
in the pharmaceutical industry for thirteen years. I currently live in Pittsburgh, PA. I have stayed in touch with
Ginger George Steele and we both are looking forward to attending the big 2-oh!!!

Comments: I married Tim Jarrell class of 1983 in Dec. of 83 finished school in Jan. 1984 moved
to Ohio then in Aug. of 1984 moved to SC. Tim and I are still very happily married have a daughter that will
graduate this year and a son that graduates next year. I was a gymnastics coach for 10 years but quit last May to
find a new path. I am currently a dental tech in a dental lab. I am still not sure what I want to be when I grow
up. I haven't had much contact with any one since I left school. Just doesn't seem like 20 years ago. Would love

Comments: Hello everyone! Glad to see everyone is doing so well. I got my Ged in 1984 and also gave birth
to my daughter. I have three kids. Two that are seniors and graduating this year and a 10 year old girl. Went to
Beckley College for awhile then I started getting sick. Turns out my Doctors tell me I'm gonna die. Seems I got a bone
disease and a crippling arthritis disease. I've been on Chemo for 4 years which, they just increased. Found out yesterday,
my hairs gonna come out. So, I'm not too happy. Guess it's a good thing I didn't further my career huh? But, I have a
good Husband who's very supportive and stands by me. If I don't ever see any of you. I'm glad I have this chance now...to

in Charlotte, NC a while before touring, and have been living there again since January of 2001. I am getting ready
to start graduate school (yes, back to school - I never thought I'd do it!) at Regent University in Virginia Beach,

an aircraft carrier homeported in San Diego, CA. Upon completion of my initial enlistment I was awarded

Comments: I didn't actually attend WWHS (I graduated from Nitro High School). But
I did go to grade school and jr. high with many people who went on to WWHS. I would love
to hear from some of my old Stratton Jr. High buds!! I got my BS in Business
Management from WV State College, then got my MBA from Marshall University. I am currently
working at BB&T (which I hate) but am looking for better employment. Please e-mail me!!!

living in Roanoke, Virginia (hopefully to move to Charlotte soon)! I am a Real Estate
Paralegal with a law firm here in Roanoke. After graduation, I stayed in Beckley
for a few years, moved to Lynchburg, VA where I receved my Paralegal degree and then
moved to Roanoke. Roanoke has been good, but it is time for a change. CHARLOTTE HERE I
COME. I am not married and have no children. I do have a cat that is my baby.

Comments: Hi Class of 84! It was so cool to read about everyone! I headed to NC
after graduation and have been here ever since. Did an 8-yr stint as asst. to VP of very
large furniture co., then got bored and decided to become a cop. Did that for
about 3 years, full and part-time, and have just now decided to give it up. Back in
furniture now as asst. to Pres of another large furniture company. Guess I still don't
know what I want to be when I grow up! Married my soulmate last June in Key West
in Hawaiian shirts and khaki shorts--the third time really is a charm! No kids--too
much of a kid myself! Bought a motorcycle last year, just like my husband's, so we ride
a lot! Been working on a novel on the side too. Love to hear from you!!!

Comments: It was fun to read everone's comments. WWHS grads are a productive
and REproductive bunch! My wife, Connie, and I live near Charleston. We have ZERO
children. As those of you that knew me would expect, I'm doing nerdy work (chemical
engineering) with Union Carbide. Perhaps surprisingly, my hobbies are pretty cool
(mtn biking, hiking, jammin' acoustic rock guitar, trout fishing, and a few nerdy one's
that also). I'm glad I still live in WV. It would be cool to hear from anyone from
"The Wedding Singer" era of WWHS.

been in the Air Force for 14 1/2 years. I've had the opportunity to

University graudating with BA General Studies (Education) in May 01.
I'm unmarried and looking forward to retiring from the military in

Bolen (Arthur is 8 years older than me so you might not know him we
met in the rain at a bike-a-thon) mother of one son, Brent, now 5
years old. I have been teaching special needs students for 13 years.
I have a rabbit named Hoppy, a dog named Buddy and a cat named Rex.
(I am now house sitting a taranatula named Charlotte for a teacher
friend). My husband and I live and work just to see our son laugh
hysterically and smile for no reason at all. I was in the band on the
flag corp at Woodrow from 1982 to 1984. High school was fun. I've
never forgotten all those many wonderful memories! Julie
