Retired here to Florida in 1988.Worked for Am. Greetings as a merchandiser for ten years and now am in the process of retiring. I love to go cruising so I needed something to support my habit. I sing in Methodist church choir and play handbells and am active in circle. I play Bridge as often as possible and am a Bridge Directer. I am treasurer and membership chairman of he Port St. John Homeowners Assoc. I have served on the county Park and Rec. After working for C&P Telephone for three years after graduation, I began working for the U.S. Government, Department of Defense, in civil service. I had interesting jobs at Langley AFB, Virginia; Anchorage, Alaska; and seven great years in Wiesbaden, Germany. Health problems forced an early retirement, but I now feel better. We were married in l954 in Beckley at my church, The Methodist Temple. After spending two years in the military, George and I settled in Ft. Thomas, Kentucky where we have lived since l956. Ft. Thomas is located right across The Ohio River from Cincinnati, Ohio. I taught elementary school for 27 years. George was employed by Procter and Gamble for 34 years. We have two married sons,Lance and Keith, and five grandchildren. Since we have been retired for sometime, we spend a lot of time traveling. A lot of travel time is spent visiting the two families who live away from us. I am lookiing forward to seeing those of you who will attend the class of "50" reunion!

It seems like just the other day I was setting in Mrs. Porters class trying to spell some word so that I could graduate. Married Sally Bunch and we have three children, Matt, Robin, and Bobby. One grandaughter, Meghan, that I spend a lot of time with. I Graduated from W.VA Tech and taught at Park Junior High School, Woodrow Wilson, Calhoun County High School, Wirt County High. I am now Retired and live at 320 Park Ave. We like to vacation at Myrtle Beach during Shag Week which is the latter part of September. Comments: After being away from Beckley for some 40+ years, we returned a about a year and half ago. The ole town has changed since the 50's. The down town area appears mostly deserted, with all of the shopping relocating to the malls. Nice to renew old friendships. Although the town may have changed, the people are the same. Still married, and recently a grandmother. Son Colin and his wife were considerate enough to furnish us with a perfect granddaughter, Avery, now two months old. After graduating in 1958 and banging around the world for a few years in the music business (notably with the Johnny Wright/Kitty Wells show out of Nashville), discovered a small Unity church in Nashville in the mid-70's, went to seminary in 1976 and entered active ministry in 1978. Currently am co-minister with wife Janet at Unity of Auburn in Auburn, CA (web site address above).

When I'm not in church, I'm in the air... commercial pilot with instrument and flight instructor ratings. I'd rather be upside down than rightside up!

Comments: Class of '54.Left WV selling drugs legally (pharmaceuticals actually). Spent most of the time since traveling the US selling lady's apparel wholesale, last ten years from Manhatten's garment center. Haven't flown prefessionally for ten years and still have enough points to go around the world first class. Problem is when I get ten miles from home (Myrtle Beach) I get home sick and send back post cards. Three children, three step children, and a whole slew of grandchildren. I'm sure sorry I missed the last four reunions because my favorite people graduated from WWHS.
